The Ennoia Journal is committed to upholding the highest standards of research ethics and publication integrity. Our ethical policies are aligned with COPE, ICMJE, UGC-CARE, and DOAJ guidelines.
Authors must ensure:
- ✅ Research involving humans has informed consent and ethical approval
- ✅ Animal research follows ARRIVE guidelines
- ✅ All data are authentic and accurately reported
- ✅ Proper attribution is given to all sources
- ✅ Fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism are strictly prohibited
2. Peer Review Policy
Type: Double-Blind Peer Review
Process:
- Initial Screening: Editorial team checks format, scope, and quality
- Reviewer Assignment: 2-3 subject experts
- Review Period: 15-20 days
- Revisions: 14 days (minor) / 30 days (major)
Decision Categories: Accept, Minor Revisions, Major Revisions, Reject
3. Plagiarism Policy
Maximum Allowable Similarity: 15% (excluding references and quotes)
Software: iThenticate (preferred) / Turnitin

4. Copyright Policy

Copyright Transfer: Authors transfer copyright to the journal upon acceptance.
Authors retain the right to:
- Use the article for teaching and research
- Post the accepted version on personal/institutional websites (after 12-month embargo)
- Use portions in future work with proper attribution
5. Open Access Policy
Type: Gold Open Access
Features:
- All articles are freely available online immediately upon publication
- No subscription fees for readers
- No paywalls or registration required
- Articles are published under CC BY-NC license
6. Retraction Policy
Grounds for Retraction:
- Major errors or inaccuracies
- Research misconduct (fabrication, falsification, plagiarism)
- Unauthorized use of data
- Violation of ethical standards
Process: Investigation → Notification → Retraction notice publication → Indexing update
7. Data Sharing Policy
Authors are encouraged to share data supporting their findings.
Recommended Data Repositories: Figshare, Dryad, Zenodo, OSF
Authors must include a data availability statement in the manuscript.
8. Correction Policy
- Erratum: Publisher error
- Corrigendum: Author error (minor)
- Expression of Concern: Ongoing investigation
- Retraction: Major issue
9. Advertising Policy
- No paid advertising
- No third-party sponsorships
- No impact on editorial decisions
